At the age of 15, Tracy knew her passion involved music and sharing music with others, especially children. She began piano lessons at the age of eight and continued the study of piano through graduate school. During these school years, she also studied clarinet, voice, and organ. She earned an undergraduate degree in Piano Pedagogy and went on to complete her Masters Degree in Music Education. In addition to Musicare, Tracy is currently a private piano teacher for Adventures in the Arts in Little Rock, AR and has been teaching piano lessons for 12 years.
She believes that:
1) ALL children are individuals.
2) Music is essential in the development of young children.
3) EVERY child is a musician at heart!
Tracy loves her job and enjoys the educational “play” that happens in each Musicare class. Tracy says, “The spark of excitment in the childrens' eyes as they discover new sounds with our percussion instruments and the eagerness of the children to have class each week when I arrive, are just two things that keeps me loving my work. Musicare is a special program to be a part of both for teachers and for children.”
