A classically trained pianist, Miss Joanna brings a wealth of musical experience to her students that includes 8 years of voice lessons, barrels of choral experience, and a vocal performance minor at Hiram College. The mother of 4 children (whom she homeschooled for seven years), her heart is to encourage your child to grow and thrive through the wonder of music.
She believes that:
1) ALL children learn better through singing,
2) holistic musical participation is an essential part of a child's cognitive and cultural development, and
3) EVERY child is a musician at heart!
Miss Joanna has been delighting young students with Musicare since 2001. She thinks she has the best job ever because: “I get to shake things, tell wonderful stories, act silly, and create music while making a real difference in children’s development. Hearing them sing and giggle is pure joy for me! What could be better?!” Each class ends with a great big "I DID IT!" for everyone!
Musicare mornings with Miss Joanna are a sure way to get your little one out of bed, smiling and ready to go to make music...don't miss out on this fun and unique educational opportunity!
From a parent in Charlotte:
“Miss Joanna, I wanted to touch base with you and let you know how much Ian loves your class. The teachers tell us how much he enjoys the class, and Jonni and I have noticed in the last month he is singing all the time at home. In these tough times I wanted to thank you for helping our child grow and thrive as a person. ” ---P. Jo Rinker RN
